CPT Ron Benzing was a chaplain assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 1st Infantry during 1968 and 1969. During his tour of duty he went out to the field many, many times to support the soldiers.
On December 24, 1968 he spent time on an LZ called Christmas Hill with Alpha Company.
